Giergiel and Taczyńska explore the memory of the Romani Holocaust (Porajmos) in the countries of former Yugoslavia (Serbia and Croatia). The memory of Porajmos is considered here as a social and cultural construct that has a history typical for a particular country/region; however, this subject is commonly marginalized, both in historiography and in cultural texts.
